At 00:36 Beijing Time (UTC+8) on July 26，the No.2 Unit of PT Shenhua Guohua Lion Power Indonesia completed its first grid connection at the first attempt. Building upon the smooth commercial operation of No.1 Unit, No.2 Unit overcame numerous obstacles, passed critical checkpoints, and took a solid step toward achieving the “dual-unit, dual-operation” target for the project.

To ensure the success of this first grid connection and smooth subsequent commissioning, the project team thoroughly applied invaluable lessons learned from No.1 Unit, conducting comprehensive system inspections of No.2 Unit in advance. During the grid connection, on-site operators relied on their rich experience and professional skills, closely monitoring parameter changes and executing each operational command with precision, ensuring a smooth connection with the power grid. Owing to collective efforts from all parties involved, No.2 Unit successfully achieved its first grid connection at the first attempt, operating steadily with all parameters meeting the designed specifications.

Prior to this, No.1 Unit had already been successfully put into operation. The successful grid connection of No.2 Unit lays a solid foundation for the project’s full-scale operation. The project team will continue to uphold the spirit of pursuing excellence, advancing subsequent work in an orderly manner to ensure full operation as early as possible, injecting strong momentum into Indonesia’s power supply and economic development in South Sumatra (Indonesian: Sumatera Selatan), and contributing to the new achievements within the Belt and Road Initiative.
